Farang is an ongoing type design project that freely interprets the Thai writing system through the prism of Muay Thai, the traditional Thai boxing and combat sport. Viewed from a foreigner's perspective (‘Farang’ in Thai), the typeface explores two formal ideas: tradition and modernity, reflecting the heritage of an ancestral art, its diffusion, and its international success.
